STEP 1:


Book an appointment
To book an appointment you will need to visit http://www.e-konsulat.gov.pl/

Make sure you have your PESEL number (number in passport which starts with your date of birth, that is YYMMDD and five additional numbers). Do not worry if you do not have a PESEL number you can book an appointment by sending an e-mail to: londyn.konsulat@msz.gov.pl.

Make sure you have the following information to hand:



  • Your name and surname

  • Your date and place of birth

  • Names and surnames of your parents

  • Contact number.



STEP 2:


Complete Application form
Application forms are only available from the Polish embassy or Polish consulate in Manchester or Scotland.



STEP 3:


Documents needed:



  • Expired Polish passport

  • PESEL number (Polish ID number)

  • Polish birth and/or marriage certificate

  • Two passport photos


For children:



  • Polish passport or Polish identity card of both parents.

  • Both parents need to be when applying for passport renewal.

STEP 5:


Processing time

Unfortunately the answer to this is not straightforward. The official embassy websites states that this may take up to 2 months for your new passport to be returned. However those that have actually applied have stated their passports came back in 3 weeks. So we will say give yourself 3 to 8 weeks for your passport to be processed.
